Pesticide Training Reminders
Private pesticide applicators, don't forget to attend your required, annual two hours of continuing instruction course if you prefer the training route to maintain your certification. In addition to my last few remaining meetings listed below in EVENTS, you have the opportunity to attend one of two ZOOM meetings to meet your certification requirements. I highly advise you read through the information in one of the following links to understand the requirements of participating in virtual training.

Finally, if your private pesticide applicator certification expired December 31, 2021, please remember to send in your forms and fees to the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship to renew your certification.
Commercial pesticide applicators, likewise don't forget to complete your training requirements. The Pesticide Safety Education Program on campus is offering several live-stream continuing instruction courses for Commercial Ag, Weed, Insect and Plant Disease Management. Visit the PSEP web page for commercial applicators to view in-person training and live-stream training opportunities.
One last reminder, don't forget to take your Dicamba training if you plan to use the Dicamba over-the-top products in soybeans in 2022. This is an annual training requirement. More information at Don't forget your annual Dicamba training for 2022. It does not matter which training you take.
Foliar Fungicide Trial Results for Soybeans

Events
Misconceptions Across Soybean Growth Stages, a webinar, is available at no charge on Thursday, February 24 starting at 11 a.m. CST. Please register prior to Thursday via the link.
The North Central Iowa Research Association, in partnership with the Northern Research Farm and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, will host the association's annual meeting on March 3 from 8:30 to 1 p.m. at the Duncan Community Center, 2337 Nation Ave., Britt. The meeting will highlight two guest speakers and the current status of the association's capital campaign. In addition directors will be elected to the board. If you have questions about being a member of the association, or the capital campaign this is a great way to learn more. This meeting is free and open to all interested parties but we do askat you please RSVP to Matt Schnabel at 641-762-3247. More details.
Advanced Women Marketing Grain starting March 3 in Webster County for 5 sessions. As farmers work to manage price risk in uncertain times, more Iowa women are taking on the challenge of improving grain prices. Advanced Grain Marketing for Women offers insights into options trading for grain and livestock producers. Registration deadline is March 1. An Advanced RUSLE2 Workshop for manure management plan writers and crop consultants will be held on March 29, at the Polk County Extension Office in Altoona.
