This is our big event of the year. Come along and join us for an evening of delicious food and the chance to meet new people from all over the world. 
Ever wanted to learn how to create a radio programme?
Fresh FM Community Access Radio is opening up their studio to people or groups interested in learning how to deliver a radio programme covering Nelson Newcomers stories, activities, issues and concerns.

We are looking for expression of interest. Wether you and a friend want to do this together, or you are keen to join others you have not yet met, don't be afraid to ask more questions and join this exciting opportunity. 

As a Community Access Radio station Fresh FM provides a broadcast platform, and all of the training needed to create, produce and host a radio show. Producing and hosting a radio show on Fresh FM is fun, rewarding and enables new experiences and connections. Fresh FM is another partner agency available to assist you settle into your new home. Luncheon Club
Every second Friday of the month
Join other newcomers for lunch at a different venue each time. If you are interested please email for dates and locations. Next Lunch: Friday 9th October, 12 noon,  at The Indian Cafe, 94 Collingwood Street. Mains around $10 and delicious.
Book Club
Book clubs are a great way socialise with others. A group of women meet once a month to discuss a new book at a different location each time. To find out more about the Nelson Newcomers Network book club contact Brigitte on

20 October
Orphanage Creek (Stoke)

Meet at Saxton Sportfields – car park at netball courts, walk along Orphanage Creek to Montebello, return on other side of the creek. Coffee at Zink.

27 October
Tahunanui –Paddy’s Knob

Meet at Beach Café car park, walk up Bisley Ave to Paddy’s Knob, along the side of the Tahuna hills, down Toswill Rd, Tahuna Drive, Beach Rd. Coffee at Beach cafe.
