Welcome to new members and their partners/families:

Volunteer Nelson will be the new umbrella organisation for the Nelson Newcomers Network as of August 2016. This will be a fabulous new start for Nelson Newcomers Network in it's 10th years of existence. 

Huge thanks to the Nelson Multicultural Council  who have been the umbrella organisation since 2006.

Welcome Newcomers

We are an informal social network which supports people in the Nelson and surrounding areas. ‘Newcomers’ can help you get in touch with others, meet local people, find out about clubs and organisations. We hope to help you feel at home in your new environment. Please feel free to come along to our activities or contact us.

Luncheon Club
Every second Friday of the month
Join other newcomers for lunch at a different venue each time. 

The next catch up is Friday,10th June,12.30pm at the Waka, Collingwood Street, formally Hanger 58. If keen to join let Clyde  know by Tuesday 7th June ,by email or ph 0212054731.
Book Club
Book clubs are a great way socialise with others. The current Nelson Newcomers Network BookClub  is at it's capacity, but if you are keen to be involved in a bookclub contact to find out more and we can start a second group if enough interest or put you on the waiting list.
