First, a Big Thank You!

Our event planners are everything, and we want to thank all of you for being such amazing people to work with. PheedLoop has grown tremendously over the last 12 months, and the single reason for that is our amazing family of event planners and their continuous communication and feedback.

You see, PheedLoop is a platform which is built with extreme passion and care. It's not built by a marketing or sales department, it's built by a small group of individuals who simply love enabling amazing event experiences, being on your team, and listening to your needs. We never claim to be perfect, but we always aim for it and push the bar higher as soon as we feel we're getting close. We know we've been saying this for a long time, but one thing is for sure, the best is yet to come.

We hope you all feel that there is a part of you in the platform, because we certainly know there is, and we couldn't be more proud and grateful.

Thank you!

A New Web App Experience!

Although PheedLoop is known for so much more than event apps, the event app is one critical and exciting piece of the platform. We're so thrilled to re-deploy a unified Web, Android, and iOS experience after the release of EventBuddy two months ago. EventBuddy has arrived for the web!

Now that EventBuddy is available cross-platform:
  • The features, content, design, and app settings for you, as an event planner, are streamlined and simplified cross-platform
  • Attendees easily transition to EventBuddy, whether it's from your registration flow, or anywhere else
  • The web version of EventBuddy encourages attendees to download the mobile version, significantly increasing download rates

New Speaker Portals! Mobile, Features, More!

One of PheedLoop's earliest innovations was the speaker portal system, which allows event planners to offload so much of their speaker and session management to the speakers themselves, and focus on the event experience.

In recent months, the success of this system has led to the implementation of exhibitor, sponsor, proposal, and registration portals to further help planners decentralize and streamline event management.

Earlier this week, we released a brand new speaker portal system! On their own, speakers can now:
  • View event details, private instructions, announcements
  • Modify and update their profiles and sessions
  • Upload slides, edit/view their co-speakers
  • Add live polls, view questions, and view feedback
  • Download or access the event app
  • Access their portals from a mobile browser

Note Taking + Event Feed!

Creating a personalized event experience for your attendees is always something we're trying to enable, and two weeks ago, we released two new features:

Note Taking

Your attendees can now add, save, edit, and PDF export notes they take directly in EventBuddy at any time before, during or after the event. Soon we'll be adding the ability for attendees to share their notes with other attendees.

Event Feed

Much like a private Twitter or Facebook stream for your event, the Event Feed allows your attendees to post pictures, text posts, and comments at any time to the feed and share their event experiences.
What Else is New?
  • Embedding website components into your external websites has dramatically improved and allows for better sizing and scaling. Grab the new embeddable code snippets now!
  • Custom taxation rules are now supported for all events, allowing you to set various fees and taxes depending on the organization or location of your registrants.
  • Security and privacy of attendee data in light of GDPR have become a primary focus. We have limited who can load attendee lists in the app, and are releasing mechanisms for attendees to export any and all data related to themselves at any time directly through their portals, and have the ability to anonymize or delete their data without affecting your registration records.
  • Announcements now support the ability to attach images, and will soon allow you to pre-schedule announcement notifications and releases.
  • Schedule conflict management has improved significantly to better take into account session capacity, who has checked in to a session, and the ability for you to allow conflicts for specific sessions when attendees create personal schedules.
