Namaste, greetings to you.

I hope you have a good first semester of 2017.
I'm planing the year ahead. Bigger and smaller yoga events, as well as personal time away and activities.

This year's Yoga & Meditation weekend Retreat is again at Gunnbeah Retreat, near Murwillumbah, northern NSW. In the beautiful Mount Warning region. Friday 15 until Sunday 17 of September 2017.

The Cost for the whole weekend is $450
this includes the complete yoga & meditation program, accomodation, retreat facilties and the delicious vegetarian meals by Vanessa from Tulsi foods for the Gunnebah catering team.

Loyalty Discount: 
If you have been to any of my Retreats between 2008 - 2016,  the cost for you this year is $410 !!

This price is not mentioned on the website or other information brochures. I'm just letting you know here in the newsletter. Or once you book and pay your deposit before 30/6/17.

Satsang, Friday 24th March 2017

 at the Raceview Scout Hall,

32 Taylor Street, Eastern Heights 4305 


5pm – 6:30pm  Hatha Yoga Class (breathing exercises, sun salutation, 12 basic postures, guided final relaxation)

6:50pm – 8:30pm Satsang (silent meditation, uplifting Sanskrit chants, an inspiring reading)


The cost is $15  or  one tick on your class pass.

You can join for both sessions to get most benefits, a good way to end the working week. Or if this is not possible for you,  just attend the Hatha Yoga class or the Satsang/Kirtan class.

In between the two sessions we have a cup of tea and something sweet

A good way to end the working week. Let go of the stress, begin the weekend with yoga & meditation.

The Tortoise or Turtle - Kurmasana


The turtle pose is an advanced yoga posture. As you can see my sister Shaktini Yogini is a master at it.

  • Bring your legs as wide apart as you can, bending the knees upward slightly.
  • Place the hands, with the palms facing down and fingers pointing back, on the floor.
  • Slide the arms beneath the knees.  .  
  • Slowly straighten the knees, bringing the chest towards the floor.
  • Even just stretching your arms under the legs with the knees bent, is a very good stretch for your legs.
Advanced yoga postures should be seen as an inspiration. What is possible if you are flexible by nature or what is possible with practice. 
My sister Shaktini Yogini teaches yoga classes and workshops in Lucerne, Switzerland.
