YOGA 4 DIGNITY


Saturday 2nd September 2017 at 8am

at the Scout Hall in Cameron Park, Easton Street, Booval.

 
#Yoga4Dinigty will bring thousands of women & men from Australia together to Share the Dignity whilst at the same time opening our hearts and touching our toes. In Australia we have 48,000 homeless women and it is our GOAL this year to have the same number practising YOGA in your hometown as we share  #Yoga4Dignity. Friday Yoga Class & Satsang meditation


the next one is on Friday 1st September 2017,
5pm - 8:30pm

These Classes are now at our home, you need to book & confirm by Wednesday 30/8/17.
 

5pm – 6:30pm  Hatha Yoga Class (breathing exercises, sun salutation, 12 basic postures, guided final relaxation)

6:45pm – 8:30pm Satsang (silent meditation, uplifting Sanskrit chants, an inspiring reading)

The cost is $15 or  one tick on the class pass.


The topic for the lecture will be about Spring, new season, new intentions, new action steps..

Gong Sound Immersion - Ipswich

I can highly recommend this Gong Sound Meditation and got my ticket for the 19/8/17. I attended a gong meditation with Leith James lat year, my first experience of this kind of meditation - wonderful, peaceful, bliss.
 
Join me Leith James a Sound Practitioner with the British Academy of Sound for this very special and memorable afternoon of relaxation and transformation. I’m a Brisbane musician, composer, teacher and sound therapist who uses gongs, didgeridoo, singing bowls, chimes and other percussion instruments to create soundscapes that relax the mind and body through sound and music. 

A Gong Sound Meditation is like a very deep and lasting massage, by tuning the body and mind a resonance of balance is created. The session is usually laying down on your back in savasana position, while the gongs are being played. As this happens the waves of sound move through the nervous system opening, clearing and recharging the whole mind, body and spirit. 

Gongs help you to drop into meditation in an easy and nurturing way. In this contemplation state you have the opportunity to calm the mind. Negativity and chaos are suspended, irregularity and resistance are cleared, and your whole being is reset to a state of harmony and alignment.

In this event you will get to experience my full 6 Gong setup + other transformative instruments that will help to strengthen your the nervous system, balancing your chakras and increase your energy.

Sound therapy can help assist with the following:

Downward Facing Dog - Adho Mukha Svanasana

The Downward Facing Dog is probably one of the best known yoga postures. When someone says yoga, people think downward facing dog. When I started yoga for me personally it was Headstand.
 
Strengthens: Leg, Arm
Stretches: Shoulder, Hand, Hamstring, Calf, Arches of the foot
Pose type: Forward bend
 
The downward facing dog is also part of the Sun Salutations. In the Sivananda Hatha Yoga tradition we call this then an inverted V. 
We probably could also call it a pyramid.
