Friday  29 August, Satsang and additional Hatha Yoga Class

It's almost the end of the month. This month of August went a bit too quick for me. It was just the First of August, Swiss National Day, and next week is our monthly Friday hatha yoga class and Satsang.

Where:  Raceview Scout Hall, Taylor Street, Eastern Heights

What:   Hatha Yoga Class (breathing exercises, sun salutation, 12 basic postures, guided final relaxation.                                                                                                          When:  5pm - 6:30pm
Cost:    $14  or  regular class pass  (no free trial class on this day).

What:   Satsang: is a combination of meditation, uplifting Sanskrit chants, yoga lecture.
When:   6:45pm - 8:15pm
Cost:     $7 (or free if you attend the earlier class)

In between the two sessions we have a cup of tea and something sweet.

You get most benefits if you join for the whole program from 5pm onwards. But if this does not suit you, you are most welcome to come only for the yoga class or meditation/Kirtan (Satsang) only.

Last month I posted a recipe for homemade dark chocolate on my blog/website. If you missed it:


Homemade Dark Chocolate:

  • 70 gr  raw cacao butter

  • 1/2 cup  raw cacao powder (sifted optional)

  • 2 tbsp  agave nectar or maple syrup or raw honey

  • 1 pinch of celtic sea salt or pink himalayan salt

  • Moulds to pour the mix in, I use ice cube forms.

Melt cacao butter in a small, dry metal or glass bowl over a saucepan of simmering water.  (On a hot Queensland’s Summer day I just put the bowl outside, covered and let it melt naturally). Once melted mix in all the other ingredients and mix very well until you have a nice, thick, consistent, liquid chocolate mix. Pour into the mould and freeze over night or for several hours.


Sunday 7 September, 9:30am - 3:30pm is the next psychic healing and reading day at the CWA Hall in Ipswich (near the Civic Centre).

This event is now on every month, always the first Sunday. Every month can be different stall holders: Massage, Reiki, Reflexology, Bush Flower Therapy, Readings, etc.
I will be part again of this next one. Giving information about the Yoga classes I teach here in Ipswich.
This time I will also offer Angel Card Reading, mainly 3-card and 4-card Readings.

Ardha-Matsyendrasana or the sitting spinal twist.   (literally Ardha stands for half = half spinal twist).
There are many benefits to this posture, but the most important is that the entire length of the spine receives a lateral twist in both directions - first to the left and then to the right.
