Launch of the Report on International Migration in the Americas
The 3rd Report of the Continuous Reporting System on International Migration in the Americas (SICREMI) was launched on August 28th at OAS headquarters. It indicates that intra-regional migration in Latin America and the Caribbean increased.

Colombia and Guatemala join forces on labor
The Ministers of Labor of Colombia and Guatemala, Luis Eduardo Garzón and Carlos Ulbán, signed a cooperation and technical assistance MOU to exchange experiences on the eradication of Child Labour, indigenous people, teleworking and labor equity, including the Equipares seal, to name a few.

ILO forum on formalization in Latin America and the Caribbean
The forum, which included the representation of 12 countries, took place from August 24th-28th and focused on exchanging experiences and good practices regarding the transition to formalization. The Regional ILO Director stated that growth would not be sustainable or inclusive if it coexisted with high informality rates.
