Virtual Course on Gender Violence at Work Launched

Enrollment for the Spanish version of the first RIAL/OAS Virtual Course is now open! The course is focused on Gender Violence at Work and was developed in partnership with the Inter-American Commission of Women (CIM) and the Educational Portal of the Americas.  It is currently in process of translation and enrollment for English speakers will begin in early 2022. This first version is exclusively for Ministers of Labor and, after excellent reviews from participants in the pilot group, we know for sure that its contents are relevant, useful and practical.

The Course’s main goal is to strengthen capacities to understand and react in the face of the various dynamics through which gender violence at work and its implications are realized. It also aims at providing tools to identify, prevent, address, investigate and punish gender violence at work, as well as integrating a gender, rights and intersectional approach into the everyday duties of the participants.
As we are launching the  Course, it will be free of charge in this opportunity, thanks to the contribution of the Canadian Labour Program to the RIAL.

Third Virtual Dialogue on Gender to take place on November 30th

The third virtual dialogue among gender units/offices within the Ministries of Labor will take place on November 30th, with the purpose of having an open conversation on the functions, objectives, challenges and recommendations for the operation of such units/offices.  In this context,  the “Manual or A-B-C”  for these units, which was requested in the first Hemispheric Dialogue, will be analyzed.
Thank you in advance for saving the date!

Invitation to Ministries of Labor to update Portfolio of Programs

The RIAL Portfolio of Programs is one of the Network’s most valuable tools to achieve its goal of strengthening institutional and human capacities in the Ministries of Labor. This “catalog of good practices”, updated directly by the Ministries, includes more than 160 programs serving as reference to identify bilateral cooperation opportunities. We encourage Ministries to review their countries’ programs and keep this tool updated.
