A bi-weekly look at Labor Administration in the Americas

Great Step in Measurement of Progress on Social, Economic and Cultural Rights

The OAS published the progress indicators for the measurement of ESCRs under the Protocol of San Salvador. These indicators are pioneers in terms of the design of a methodology that prioritizes regional indicators, in that they allow measuring State compliance given the obligations set by Protocol of San Salvador, and that they inform of progress in social policy.  Likewise, the OAS organized de 65th Round Table with the title "Regional Agenda for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights: A Look into the Future," on February 24

March 13th is the new due date to submit proposals to the 8th  Call of  RIAL

In response to applicants’ requests, the date for submission has been extended. The 8th call of the RIAL has achieved great success among the Ministries of Labor, which have also benefited  from 2 webinars where they were able to find the perfect partners for their proposals.

The Honorable Vance Winkworth Amory was appointed Minister of Labor, Social Security and Ecclesiastical Affairs of Saint Kitts and Nevis. The new Minister served  as Prime Minister of Nevis and founded the Concerned Citizens’ Movement (CCM)
