Open 10th Call for Bilateral Cooperation of RIAL
The OAS launched the 10th Call of the RIAL which will fund cooperation activities between the Ministries of Labor, and will allow them to improve their strategies and programs. The Call for Proposals will be open until March 1st, 2017. We invite all Ministries to present their proposals! Results will be announced on March 20th.

OAS Ministers of Education to approve the Inter-American Educational Agenda
On February 9 and 10, the Ministers of Education of the OAS will meet in The Bahamas to approve the Inter-American Educational Agenda (AEI), an instrument that will guide the Inter-American cooperation in the coming years and will support the states to fulfill their commitment to the Agenda 2030, mainly ODS4, and specifically in the three areas that the ministries themselves have defined as priorities:
  • Quality, inclusive, and equitable education
  • Strengthening of the teaching profession
  • Comprehensive early childhood care

Dates for meetings towards the 20th OAS Ministerial of Labor are set
Following the Calendar of Activities 2016 - 2017 of the Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labor (IACML), the dates for the meeting of the Working Groups of the Conference and the preparatory work for the 20th IACML have been set for April 26 to 28, 2017 in Asuncion, Paraguay. These meetings will serve to continue analyzing and defining solutions to the most pressing labor challenges such as labor informality, youth unemployment and the need to continue strengthening labor administrations. Reserve an space in your calendar!
10 achievements from Davos 2017
The Davos forum held January 17 -20 brought together key business leaders, international politicians, journalists and select intellectuals to discuss the world's most pressing issues. The four key challenges surrounding the 2017 annual meeting were: strengthening global collaboration, revitalizing economic growth, reforming capitalism, and preparing for the fourth industrial revolution.
