Mapping our work in Huron County
CFHuron is here to help Huron County entrepreneurs, supporting small businesses and community economic development that are the keys to building resilient communities and a strong local economy.
Did you know, CFHuron is a non-profit Community Futures Development Corporation, just one of a wide network of rurally-focused CFDCs funded by Federal Development?
CFHuron has been helping entrepreneurs make their futures in Huron County since 1993. This goal is achieved by providing management counselling, business loans, and support for community projects that strengthen the local economy.
Every year, we at CFHuron help new businesses get off the ground. Key emerging business opportunities include agriculture, renewable energy, manufacturing, tourism, retail services, and the creative economy.
This Huron County map hangs on our office wall. Every new client gets their pin and their place on our map. As the years go by, some pins disappear and new ones take their place as some businesses close and new enterprises open. Our work extends from North to South Huron and from Goderich to Howick and everywhere in between.
