Helen Waaka named as finalist in Ngā Kupu Ora Awards
Helen Waaka’s book Waitapu, published last year by Escalator Press, has been announced as a Creative Writing category finalist in Massey University’s Ngā Kupu Ora Awards. The awards shortlist includes well-known Māori writers and artists such as Patricia Grace and Lisa Reihana. Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony at the Auckland War Memorial Museum on Monday 3rd October.
