Our biggest public event of the year is approaching and we want to see YOU there! Our 2nd Annual Fund Raising Concert and Auction is taking place Friday October 2nd at 6 pm in Providence, RI. It was a great time last year and we're hoping it's even better this year. Come listen to some great music, see some fabulous dancing and score some awesome auction and raffle items. Sam Ticker, PCoC's Unstoppable Dance Stars and more will be performing. All proceeds are going to help build our school and start our church in Liberia.
Tickets are 10$ each, kids 6 and under and free. You can buy tickets from any board member or reply to this email for more information on how you can get tickets. You can also buy your ticket at the door. We can't wait to see you there!

If you have Facebook, please RSVP and invite people that you think would like to come to the concert, including LLTW fans! LLTW cannot send FB invites to people due to FB privacy restrictions, so we rely on you to spread the word. RSVP and invite here!

We have a new Secretary at Love Lights the Way, Marian Lee! Marian has been an AP member since the beginning and we are thrilled that she has decided to take her passion for LLTW to the next level by becoming a board member.
Marian’s commitment to the Liberian people and LLTW’s mission goes back to her personal, passionate conviction that in order to make a positive change in this world, one has be part of that change one person at a time, one cause at a time. Welcome Marian! We are so happy to have you on the board!
We're prepping our team for our travel to Liberia! We will have team members in Liberia from late November to early January. The team consists of:
  • Bruce Bates
  • Jonathon Burnett
  • Ron Burnett
  • Helena Horace
  • William Horace
  • Laurie Scharp
  • Saliha Stewart
What we'll be doing:
  • Converting our warehouse to a church meeting place and creating a church community with the locals.
  • Begin construction on the school/church building, starting with the foundation and the classrooms.
  • Start developing the cassava farm with the help of the locals.
  • Various other tasks that involve Love Lights the Way and Lighthouse Village.
Please pray for our team members, our projects and our mission!
If you're on the Advisory Panel, save the date for our annual AP dinner! Our AP dinner will be held at The Old Grist Mill Tavern in Seekonk, MA on Sunday November 1st. We can't wait to share a wonderful evening with you! AP members will receive an invitation in the mail soon.

Our fundraising status is currently at approximately $70,000! That includes what we raised in 2014 as well as this year. We'd love to raise $100,000 by the end of the year so we can make lots of progress on Lighthouse Village's school, cassava farm and church and have a greater impact in helping Liberia.

Please consider how you might help us get closer to our goals. Learn more about our over all plan here. And our December plan here.
