Gene Keys Workshops
Gulf Islands
Beginning the last weekend in January and continuing on the last weekend of each month, Peter will be traveling to Pender Island on the Saturday (9.30am start) and Salt Spring Island on Sunday (3pm start) to do a series of workshops through the 3 sequences of the Gene Keys Golden Path: The Activation, Venus and Pearl Sequences. If you are interested in joining these workshops or need more info, please contact Peter.
Calgary
Peter will also be going to Calgary on the weekend of March 4th-7th to do a FREE Gene Keys introduction on the Friday evening and a full two-day workshop covering the entire Activation and Venus Sequence. Private one-on-one sessions will be available on Monday March 7th.

Entering the Age of Aquarius!

Well it’s been a pretty intense start to 2016 and here is a reason that few will have known about. I am indebted to Zia and Carol Ciocco (www.carolciocco.com) for pointing this out. January 25th just past was the exact midpoint of the Pluto transit through Capricorn. It takes 16 years for Pluto to move through any one sign and it entered Capricorn in 2008. Most of you will remember September 15th, 2008 as the day the big financial crash began with the Lehman Brothers debacle and many other narrow financial escapes. Many are still recovering from that catastrophe and we are not out of the woods yet by any means.
So we have to wait until 2024 to see how all of this plays out. What we do know is that Pluto is the destroyer coming up from the underworld to smash apart anything that is out of alignment with our evolutionary path. Capricorn is about the old Patriarchal Structures including the financial system, medical system, reliance on fossil fuels, the educational system and so on. Pluto also represents the Phoenix rising from the ashes and is therefore playing a crucial role in revealing what needs to be cleared away so we can move into a more sustainable future in every way, including how we treat each other.

So the first twenty days of the New Year were spent in Capricorn and on Epiphany, January 6th, the Sun and Pluto were conjunct, hence these powerful intense energies. There is no hiding place. So if you are having a tough time, look to the areas in your life where that is happening and make some changes. We are all being forced to look deeply into our personal authenticity to reveal our true purpose for being here at this critical time on Planet Earth.
Interestingly in the description of the 55th Gene Key, Richard Rudd discusses the prediction from Human Design calculations that, “The year 2027 will see a huge genetic mutation sweeping through the Solar Plexus of humanity. After that date, nothing will ever be the same again!”
So what can we do now?

Each year as we move into the Sun Sign of Aquarius, I remind myself that we are in transition between the Age of Pisces and the Age of Aquarius. These epochs last over 2,000 years and so they don’t change overnight. It takes a few years for this transformation to occur. I personally look to the 1960s for the first seeds of the Aquarian Age being sewn, when the planets Pluto and Uranus were conjunct. Just look at the initial revolution that was taking place then in terms of freedom from all of the oppressive forces of control. Over the last four years, Pluto and Uranus have been involved in a dance where they created seven precise square arrangements, passing over each other time and again to make sure we took the necessary action to bring about the destruction of the old to make way for a new level of personal freedom.

This is how you can add your personal power and freedom to the situation. For those following the Gene Key Program it is all revealed in the 55th Gene Key of transformation from victimhood to freedom. We all play the victim at different times in our lives. It is inevitable as a result of the training and conditioning we received as children. No one is to blame. It’s all a part of human evolution. But now it’s time to take full responsibility for our own lives, our happiness and our freedom. How can we know when we are playing the victim?
There are two extremes. The repressive nature is to complain! When you are complaining you are giving your power away to the person or situation you are complaining about. You make yourself the central victim of your own drama. This leads to a pessimistic view of life. The energy of the complaint strengthens the illusion that life is so very hard. Freedom occurs when we see through our deepest unconscious patterns and take responsibility for everything that occurs in our life. Everything that happens is an opportunity to learn and grow.

The reactive nature is for us to blame. When we blame another, we fire an arrow that saves us from taking responsibility for the situation, giving away our true power and presence while damaging someone else. True freedom comes, according to Richard Rudd, when you can catch your arrows of blame in mid-flight before they reach their target!
I invite you to play with your complaining and blaming tendencies throughout the remainder of Aquarius this month and see what transformation occurs. The key is awareness. We still make mistakes, but each time we catch ourselves, we are healing our wounds and the wounds of the collective. Have fun with it and be gentle with yourself.

On that lighter note, we are moving through the cross-quarter day called Imbolc, celebrated around February 1st. It is the mid-point between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox and heralds the early signs of spring. We can clearly see the days drawing out, fresh green shoots on the trees and crocuses and snowdrops on the ground - on the west coast at least! It also welcomes the beginning of lambing season and the lactating ewes.
The Goddess Brigid is revered at this time. She is a triple Goddess and changes from the Crone of Winter into the Maiden of Spring for Imbolc. She is a Goddess of fertility, poetry, healing, midwifery, and anything made with the hands. It is a time of purification through the renewing power of the Sun and white candles are often lit to symbolize the purity of the returning light. This time is also known as Candlemas.
It’s a time to celebrate the successful passing of winter and to look forward to the brighter and warmer days. It’s also a Rebirth opportunity for us to make the commitment to fully step into our truth.
