Out & About
August 30 - September 3 | "From Sickness to Health" in Tacoma
Rico Hill is returning to the Tacoma area for another installment of "From Sickness to Health" to help you optimize your health and avoid bad lifestyle decisions. This health seminar will be held August 30-September 3 from 7-8 pm at Tacoma Community College in the campus cafeteria (6501 S. 19th St, Building #11, Tacoma, WA 98466). The Sunday, September 3, session will be from 2-3 pm. Enjoy nightly samples with a full meal at the last session. Admission and childcare is free. 

September 1 | "First Friday Vespers" in Renton
Come welcome in the Sabbath with testimonies, prayer, a mini concert by the Orion Chorale, and a sermonette by Pastor Nemaia Faletogo at the Renton Seventh-day Adventist Church Friday, September 1 at 7 pm.

September 9 | "Heritage Singers" in Kirkland
The Heritage Singers are coming to town! Enjoy the concert live on Saturday Sabbath, September 9 at 7:30 pm in the Kirkland SDA Church. It won't cost you anything but enjoyment!

September 9 | "Loma Linda Comes to You" in Bellevue
Head's up! Dr. Richard Hart, President of Loma Linda University Health (LLUH), will be giving an update on all the exciting things happening at LLUH at the Embassy Suites Bellevue Saturday Sabbath, September 9, at 6:30 pm. September 17 | "Funding the Vision" in Gladstone, OR
Learn grant-writing for nonprofits and faith-based organizations at Funding the Vision on Sunday, September 17 from 1-5 pm at the Gladstone Park SDA Church in Oregon. Join the workshop with The Lane Consulting Group and work to build the capacity of nonprofits from start to finish. Early registration fee is $59 and ends September 1st. Register now!

September 29 - 30 | "Creation Seminar" in Renton
Join Dr. Stan Hudson from the NPUC Creation Institute for a two-day seminar on origins called, "In the Beginning." This community event will be held at the Renton Seventh-day Adventist Church Friday, September 29, at 7 pm, and Saturday Sabbath, September 30, at 11 am and 2 pm. Topics such as "The Flood," and "Dragons and Dinosaurs" uncover scientific evidence that points to the authority of the creation narrative. Visit or call (855) 289-5702 for more information!

"Amen Tacoma" on November 10 & 12
Mark your calendars dental professionals, Amen Tacoma is looking for volunteers! Amen Tacoma is offering a free clinic at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall this coming November. They are in need of dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants. Not medically trained? You can still volunteer! If you are feeling the call to lend a hand, go online to Amen Tacoma to sign up and volunteer!
How are you getting involved in ministry? We want to know!
Bake sale for the win! Puyallup Seventh-day Adventist Church raised $26,000 during their bake sale to build their new Performing Arts Center. A local donor matched their money and raised their final total to $52,000. That's one expensive chocolate cake!

ADRA Partnering with ACS to help those impacted by Hurricane Harvey

The Texas Conference, Southwestern Region Conference, Southwestern Union Conference and Southwestern Adventist University are hands on helping rescue and support people stranded and impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
