AMEN Port Orchard Serves Community!
Our Adventist and community volunteers came out to support peninsula residents during the AMEN Port Orchard clinic this past weekend! AMEN clinics help to provide free dental, vision, and medical healthcare for those with limited or no insurance.
"I've felt that the majority of the people were overwhelmed by the kindness and acceptance that we show them," says Emily Ellis, a volunteer chaplain from Auburn, Wash. "They're finding a God that cares deeply for them and that opens a door for the Holy Spirit to work."
Aside from general healthcare, the clinic provided physical therapy, massages, haircuts, lifestyle & spiritual coaching, and local resources to the community! Overall, the clinic served 97 dental patients, 94 vision patients, and 66 medical patients; A total of 257 patients served!
Thank you volunteers for your service!
