to get "Out & About" in ministry

August 6, 2019

This Week's Promise to Share

Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes, And I shall keep it to the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, For I delight in it.

Psalm 119:33-35, NKJV

Aug. 25 :: "The Whole Life" Health Coaching Training

For every 10 people you see worldwide, 9.5 have health problems and are in need of help. What if you could do something to heal them? What if you could help without having a medical degree? What if in helping them, you could bring them to Jesus?

Meet Josh Vasquez. For the last five years, God has put a burden on his heart to heal through simple means that heal the entire person.

Through much prayer and lessons learned from experience, Vasquez created a kit of resources to make it possible for every member, no matter what their level of knowledge and experience, to do the work Christ did. Becoming a Health Partner gives you a simple and straightforward way to connect with people on a personal level and minister to their needs.

Sweet Summer Reflections

Each Sunday at Sunset Lake Camp between the departing and incoming camps, the staff gather to share stories, reflect on the previous week, learn leadership lessons, and present announcements. This last Sunday brought special guests: Washington Conference administrators (and a sweet treat)!

"We've seen God at work," says David Yeagley, camp director. "We don't do ministry in a bubble. We are part of the greater ministry of Washington Conference."

The administrators thanked the summer camp staff for their dedication, for nurturing community, and for investing in God's kingdom.

"Wherever you go from here for university studies or beyond, stay involved in ministry and in your local church," Doug Bing, Washington Conference president, challenged the summer staff.

Please join us in praying for staff as they return to school or start careers; for campers as they reflect on the faith lessons learned; and for families and the local church community to be welcoming and supporting of our young people as they grow in Jesus. We pray for each person to know the fullness of God's goodness and blessings!
