This Week's Promise to Share

Keep me safe, Lord, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from the violent, who devise ways to trip my feet. The arrogant have hidden a snare for me; they have spread out the cords of their net and have set traps for me along my path.

I say to the Lord, “You are my God.” Hear, Lord, my cry for mercy. Sovereign Lord, my strong deliverer, you shield my head in the day of battle. Do not grant the wicked their desires, Lord; do not let their plans succeed.

Psalm 140:4-8, NIV

Volunteer Park Puts Worship in Action!

Giving back to the community is an awesome way to spend your Sabbath! Volunteer Park Adventist Church spent their Worship in Action Sabbath packaging care bags, preparing meals, helping seniors in their homes with tasks and projects, and building tiny homes for the homeless.

One group helped Tilth, an urban farm that seeks to provide healthy food and education to the community, by clearing a few willow trees, pulling weeds for the next seeding, and interacting with local members of the community.
