I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

April 13-15 | Biblical Justice: Urban Ministries Conference

Learn how to overcome one of the greatest evangelistic challenges facing the Adventist Church in America: how to move beyond 19th century rural-focused approaches to meet 21st century urban-focused ministry needs.
The Urban Ministries Conference this April 13-15 will help you discover and unpack proven principles, biblical guidelines, and best practices for impacting the holistic needs in an urban context.
Keynote speakers will spotlight innovative, successful and sustainable ministries operated by Adventist churches in the urban context. The conference will be held on the campus of Bastyr University in Kenmore, Wash.

April 14 | ALIVE Children 's Ministries Workshop in South Tacoma

Enjoy learning and networking with Children's leaders on Sabbath, April 14, beginning at 3 pm, at the A.L.I.V.E. Children's Sabbath School Workshop at South Tacoma Adventist Church.

Designed for Leaders of children aged 4-12, we'll examine the developmental and social needs at various ages and work to design meaningful activities for Bible study.

You will have the chance to network during breakout sessions with other area Leaders, participate in a readers' drama presentation and explore potential resources and service projects in the Seattle/Tacoma area.

April 28 | Deaf Big Day in Ferndale

Join Deaf Ministry for the spring Deaf Big Day at Ferndale SDA Church on Saturday, April 28. Pastor David Trexler, Director and Speaker for 3 Angels Deaf Ministries, will be presenting during church service. Come and join us for a wonderful Sabbath! All are invited and encouraged to bring their favorite potluck dish to share.

Voice interpretation will be available during church service (the entire service will be conducted in American Sign Language).

#NWAdventists Returned from Guatemala!

A group of 19 from Walla Walla University, Washington Conference, Idaho Conference and North Pacific Union Conference traveled to Guatemala over spring break to help with an evangelism series!

Through their activities and local evangelism activities, they anticipate 1,500 baptisms by the end of April.

For Doug Bing, Washington Conference president, the best part of the trip was participating in mentoring sessions for theology students. "I really enjoyed the mentorship process as many of our team experienced their first evangelism series," he says. "We met each morning for coaching sessions and it was fun to see them learn, grow and ask questions about their experiences."
