Who is your Theophilus?

by Doug Bing, Washington Conference president

I love the fact that Luke was not a trained theologian. He was a doctor who had been with Jesus from the very beginning and he had been impacted by Jesus and His impact on not only his personal life but the lives of those he touched. He had a story to tell and he wanted to be able to tell it.

Remembering Max Mace

The Heritage Singers announced this morning that founder Max Mace passed to his rest.

"While thousands upon thousands of us will no doubt grieve his loss, let us also celebrate the enormous legacy this humble, kind and loving man has left behind," the family says in a statement. "Because he dared to dream with God and step out in courageous faith, countless lives have been forever changed over the past five decades, throughout the entire globe."

Help Share More Hope

Renton SDA Church started this year with no plans for a radio program. And then God brought together an opportunity to partner with 820 AM The Word...just before the pandemic arrived in our area.

This radio ministry weekly blesses listeners on Sunday mornings at 8 and through follow-up Zoom Bible studies with participants from across the country!

God opened doors during this time for Renton Church to expand this ministry into a two-day format instead of one. This benefits the work, the conference, individual churches and most importantly the unreached, hurting and searching.

Renton Church is inviting you to partner with them in funding an extra $9,000 to air programs on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Help share more Hope for Today! Every dollar makes a difference!

We think we can, we think we can....we think we can't

Plans were coming together for a Club and Children's Ministries virtual leadership retreat this weekend. And then reality set in: our local leaders are tired of screens.

So...this event is postponed until another time. Thanks for your interest! Continue to be of good courage!

An Evening of Inspiration

How is your soul feeling? Weary? Hopeful? Somewhere between? You'll find inspiration with a virtual gathering of women on Friday, November 20, at 7 pm.

Music. Stories. Encouragement.
The uplifting evening will also include a presentation by Chaplain Adrienne Townsend Benton. She's served as a dean at Andrews University, speaks globally, and is known as the first US Navy Adventist female chaplain. Her passion and mission is to bring hope and the light of Christ to precious souls in the dark corners of life.

Inspiring women inspire women. Come be inspired!

FREE. No RSVP needed to watch on @washconf's Facebook or YouTube live streams. Let us know on Facebook if you'll be watching!
