Be "All In" with Jesus

By Doug Bing, Washington Conference president

Some of the saddest words in the New Testament are found in Acts 26:28 where Paul was sharing the good news of the gospel with King Agrippa. When he was finished, the king stated to Paul: “Almost you persuade me to be a Christian.”

Paul then responds by saying, "I really do wish that you would be a believer just like me." Paul was all in with Jesus and he was all in with sharing Jesus with others and asking them to follow Jesus as well.

Paul’s life had changed for the better as a result of being a Christian. He knew that the king's life could change as well. Instead, the king left the room without making a commitment.

Today as you consider all that Jesus has done for you, please consider being all in for Jesus. Consider letting Jesus change every part of your life. Consider sharing the gospel and become totally involved with what Jesus wants you to do each day. That will look different based on your spiritual gifts and your environment. But Jesus wants each of us to be involved in ministry. That starts with us being all in with Jesus, and not getting up and walking away when we are almost there. Instead, stay in the room and be all in.

Call Your Family to Prayer

Something special happens when your family or a small group of friends regularly come together for family worship and prayer. It's a relational bonding experience between our Creator God and our family. Maybe you are well-acquainted with family worship time, or maybe you would like to start this experience!

You are invited to join "The Altar Project" from October 12 sunset to November 10 sunset. Families (including singles) throughout Washington Conference are called to engage in 30-days of prayer to re-prioritize the pursuit of God in our homes, schools, and churches.

Experience spiritual revival through the restoration of family worship, and see how it alters your spiritual growth!

Alter your altar this October 12 to November 10! You will soon find daily prayer and devotional ideas online at washingtonconference.org.

Washington Youth Club Report

Adventurers and Pathfinders are the best ministries our church has for young people. This comes as a result of caring and loving adults giving of themselves selflessly to minister to young people. Right here in western Washington, we have 15 brand new Pathfinder clubs this year...and this doesn't even count our new Adventurer Clubs! May God bless all our Pathfinders and Adventurers as they grow in Him!
