Happy Valentine's Day!

May you share your happy heart for Jesus with others!

Your Part in the Tree of Life

In the last book of the Bible, we read about the tree of life in the earth made new. I have thought about that tree more than once.

It is intriguing to imagine that tree. Revelation 22 states that it is positioned on both sides of the river of life. I have wondered if it meets in the middle over the top and it is all interconnected. Sounds incredibly pretty.

I am most intrigued by the idea that it produces fruit every month of the year and that there are 12 different kinds of fruit being produced. Many friendly arguments have been had over which 12 will be there on the tree. I have my own favorite 12. Frankly I will be happy with whatever kind are there. Most of all, I will be happy to be there.

Proverbs also talks about the tree of life...with an important lesson!

A Worthwhile Investment

This Valentine's we are praising God for 1,022 subscribing couples who completed 40 Days of Marriage Revival! These couples come from around the world and daily discovered how they could #LoveStrong.

Randy Maxwell writes: "Our 40 days is coming to an end in just a couple more days. I pray this has been an amazing experience with God and with your spouse. In fact, I hope you've experienced a true spiritual and marital revival. And you know that revivals, if they are to last, must be followed by reformation."

Maxwell continues: "So don't let the good habits of prayer, and what you've learned about cherishing, forgiveness, communication, intimacy, having fun together, and applying the Word of God to your marriage end after Friday. Keep the fire burning. Repeat the 40 days if you need to, but avoid lukewarmness in your marriage, and in your relationship with God at all costs."

Jesus is the Pain Breaker

A record number of Pathfinder teens engaged in learning about emotional and mental health at this year's Pathfinder Teen Retreat.

"It is a relevant topic for young people today...about the pain, anxiety and suffering they go through and how they can cope and help their peers," says David Salazar, Washington Conference youth director.

In one activity, Pathfinders used modeling clay to create representations of their addictions and challenges and later broke the clay figures at the cross to demonstrate how Jesus is the ultimate pain breaker.

A Second Attempt to Launch

Everything was set to launch Renton Church's "Hope for Today" radio program, and then there was a station glitch. 820 AM The Word (Seattle's Christian talk radio) is offering an introductory drive-time slot on Friday at 5:30 pm to a larger audience.

The following program times will resume on Sundays at 8 am with messages from author and pastor Randy Maxwell. The first series of messages will lead into the Easter season.

Thank you for your prayers and listening support for Renton Adventist Church and their venture into new-to-them ministry territory.
