God Loves You with a Love Stronger Than Death

by Doug Bing, Washington Conference president

The last two weeks have been painful for our family with three good friends who lost the patriarch of their families. We have been on the phone with those that live afar and others we have safely visited locally.

We love our families and when we get a visit from death it is something that is one of the most painful things that we face on this earth. Sabbath Stream for May 2

Connect with your local and conference family of faith for a time of worship and prayer. Our featured speaker will be Kenneth Martinez from Refuge Church in Seattle, a recent church plant by young adults. Additionally, we'll have a community service story from South Tacoma Adventist Fellowship.

Kenneth shares: "We'll talk about suffering, and what Peter has to say about it.
Near the end of his live, Peter heard that believers in Asia Minor are being oppressed. And he foresees even worse suffering is coming. So he is prompted to write a letter to strengthen them, and teach them how to suffer well. His words have been useful for every generation of believers that suffer, and is particularly relevant in pandemic times."

The Sabbath Stream schedule is:
  • 9:30 or 10 am - Local Bible Study Sessions
  • 11 am  - Local Worship Streams (see a growing list of local streams)
  • 12 pm - Sabbath Worship Stream (45-55 minutes)
  • 5:30 pm - "Faith Over Fear" Prayer Call (60 minutes)

Auburn Adventist Academy was days away from its annual Hearts of Gold benefit auction for student scholarships when coronavirus public health concerns emerged. Staff and volunteers put in a tremendous amount of work to create a three day online auction for April 28-30.
