All the latest news from The Crispin Aubrey Legacy Fund
A big welcome to CALF’s latest newsletter!
Statewatch formally launched the ABC Archives on the 28th of March at The May Day Tea Rooms, 88 Fleet Street, London, EC4Y 1DH.
Firstly we would like to take this opportunity to thank The Garden Court’s Special Fund that enabled Statewatch to undertake the painstaking process of archiving Crispin’s collection of documents.
Also a huge thank you to the following speakers for their valuable contributions at the opening meeting: Ann Singleton (Co-Chair Statewatch) Kate Aubrey (Crispin Aubrey Legacy Fund) Duncan Campbell (ABC) John Berry (ABC) Tony Bunyan (Statewatch, ABC Defence Campaign). Rajiv Menon QC (Garden Court Chambers) Zak Suffee (Statewatch Library Volunteer) Richard Norton-Taylor (Writer on Defence & Security, Guardian)

One of our scholars – Charlie Watts - recently wrote an article for The Knowledge about a community boxing club moving into its new premises (see article right).
This follows on from a video he produced for The Bristol Cable about the hunt to find a new home for the club last year.
The Knowledge is a newsletter about Bristol neighbourhood Knowle West and The Bristol Cable is a newspaper with a focus on investigative journalism, both are published quarterly.
Charlie also has journalism work placements lined up with Ujima Radio, Sam FM and The Bristol Post over the summer.
Ujima Radio is a community radio station, whilst Sam FM is a commercial one - and the Bristol Post is a regional daily newspaper. All three are based in Bristol.
We wish Charlie every success with his summer placement and look forward to hearing all about them.
