Happy New Year to you all and thank you for your continued support! This email is just a quick reminder about the Legacy Walk this Saturday, details of which are below.
We hope to see you there!
CALF LEGACY WALK - FROME
19th January 2019
From Print Works to Poldark, the walk will take a picturesque route around the centre of Frome with informative talks from local authors covering fictional works and insights into local historical landmarks. We will ensure to take an accessible route for those with limited mobility and will be able to offer a shorter route for those with small children.
The walk will start at 11am from outside The Rye Bakery, Whittox Lane, BA11 3BY otherwise known as The Hub Nub (this is a large converted chapel!). Sue will be there from 10:30am for anyone who wants to grab a coffee before the walk.
As there is no parking outside, the nearest car park is situated on Cork Street, BA11 1FB. From here, walk across Cork Street and along a pedestrian path past Catherine House Care Home and you will find the Rye Bakery next door. For those who are familiar with Catherine Hill, the bakery can be located by walking to the top of the hill and turning right onto Whittox Lane. (This route is a steep climb – so let us know if you need details of a gentler climb).
The walk will finish at the Hunting Ravens Bookshop in the centre of town where you can have a browse, followed by lunch back at The Rye Bakery at 1:30pm.
To let us know you are coming or if you have any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org call/text Meg on 07765371051 (Meg’s number can also be used if you can’t find us on the day).
