Welcome to the twelfth issue of our flood recovery newsletter.
Whilst we are acutely aware that many impacted landholders are still in the early phases of recovery, we are taking a moment out this fortnight to focus on preparedness.
La Niña alerts, Negative IODs and positive SAMs - what does it all mean?
The BOM's ENSO Outlook continues at La Niña ALERT, indicating at least a 70% chance of La Niña reforming later this year. This is around triple the normal likelihood. La Niña events increase the chances of above-average rainfall for northern and eastern Australia during spring and summer. Read more about Climate Drivers here.
In light of the outlook, do you have a flood plan for your property?
Our farm flood readiness kit was designed to walk you through planning for flood. Download your copy and make time to do this as a priority.
