With this newsletter, we are happy to update you on the latest news on Airborne Oil & Gas. 

After years of hard work, we are very proud to announce that we are fully qualified by DNV on our design, materials and production process. Where we already have product specific qualifications with several individual operators and contractors, the DNV certification provides us with a very strong endorsement from one of the leading certification bodies. 
Our qualifications in combination with our growing track record are a testament of an industry embracing new technology to dramatically reduce cost. In order to improve our ability to service our clients quickly with the TCP Jumper and other TCP products, we are happy to announce a partnership with Hydrasun, one of the world's leading providers of integrated fluid transfer, power and control solutions to the energy industry. Downline system for West African operator ready for delivery

Airborne recently completed the manufacturing of a TCP Downline and Jumpers for a West African operator. Together with the deployment spread, the system will be used for acid stimulation. 

The TCP Downline and TCP Jumpers provide the high flow rates required for effective stimulation of reservoirs, accessible only through subsea wells. Acid stimulation is a key element for most operators to increase their recovery ratios; where a high flow rate is a prerequisite, the good fatigue performance, lightweight and easy maintenance of the TCP Downline and deployment system ensures a good business case compared to alternatives such as steel-coiled tubing.

The complete package consists of the following components:
  1. TCP Downline as free-hanging fluid conduit
  2. TCP Jumpers to provide the flexible link between the downline and the injection skid
  3. Constant tension reeler
  4. Tensioner

Airborne Oil & Gas and Hydrasun teaming up

Now that TCP technology is widely accepted in the industry, and Airborne Oil & Gas have qualifications and track record in place, the moment has come to service the industry in a better way by making TCP technology available faster and in more locations in the world. To this extent Airborne Oil & Gas is teaming up with Hydrasun, one of the world's leading providers of integrated fluid transfer, power and control solutions to the energy and other industries.

Jointly, Airborne Oil & Gas and Hydrasun will make TCP Jumpers available on stock for fast delivery, and offer the ability for fast service and support to a wide client base. For a start, the stock offering will include the 2 inch 10 ksi TCP Jumper, the world's only smooth bore jumper with a collapse rating to 3000 meter water depth. The TCP Jumper is the product of choice for subsea acid stimulation, pipeline pre-commissioning and plug & abandonment (P&A) where collapse resistance is a must.

DNV Qualified

We have qualified our general design methodology and production process in accordance with the new DNV standard for TCP, DNVGL RP F119. With this, Airborne Oil & Gas is the world’s first company to be certified and qualified for the design and production of TCP.
Airborne Oil & Gas has been at the forefront of the development and acceptance of a new global standard for TCP. As result of this, late 2015 DNV published this new Recommended Practice DNVGL F119, intended for Thermoplastic Composite Pipes in offshore applications. It is a design based approach for qualifying TCP, at lowest cost possible. It builds on having a fundamental understanding of the design, materials and production of the TCP:
  • Thorough understanding of the application, including all load cases, temperatures and fluids, both during installation and in service conditions
  • Validated design methods, understanding and accurately predicting all the failure modes of the pipe and end-fittings
  • Detailed material models based on material testing, showing the behaviour and strength of materials under influence of time, temperature and fluids
  • Proven and robust production, capable of producing continuous length, repeatedly [read more]
