Happy November ! This is the month we give thanks and if you are in need of renewal, it is also the beginning of Celtic New Year!
I have much to be thankful for. Last year I moved back to Boston after life felt like it had fallen apart. Now I am playing regularly with good friends and have plans for new projects that I hope you'll be a part of. And my private music teaching has taken off. (Boston peeps, if you'd like to try to find a spot for voice/beginning piano/ or guitar lessons for you or your kids, check out my teaching site designed by the incredible Steve Sibel at www.LauraVvoice.com.)
Jodi Heights, Chris Georges and I are loving our Newton nook at Social Restaurant in the Crown Plaza Hotel, Newton, MA. Guest artist friends join us to mix up styles. My dear friend, Larry Luddecke lent his Gospelly, Bluesy stylings to two favorite tunes old and new: Traffic’s “Low Spark of High Heeled Boys” and Sam Smith’s, “I’m Not the Only One." (Thank you to Dan Berman for providing some “fan footage” of those tunes which you can watch by clicking links below.
