As it's winter in these parts, I thought the background to my profile picture - the snow covered Colorado Rocky Mountains - was appropriate; no, I've not moved again, this is from a vacation a few years ago.
I've been thinking about snow because, after the huge snowfall we had here in St Louis last year, I bought myself a snow-blower. Even though a lot of the country has been blanketed with huge deposits of the white stuff, so far this year the most we have had is under half an inch. Truthfully I'm torn between being relieved we haven't had a worse winter, and upset that I've not had a chance to try out my new toy!
So what have I been up to apart from wishing for snow? Read on...
My first two full-length book - Cast a Long Shadow and Cast a Long Shadow II - have been revised and are being relaunched!
My writing style has changed (I like to think matured!) over the last few years, and I really wanted to go back and re-visit these books, which came about from one of my Blogs. After a lot of thought, I realized that I didn't want to alter anything in substance, but I did want to do some stylistic changes. I undertook these revisions last month, and whilst I was revisiting the content, came up with a new cover, which I really love.
To mark this, I'm running a MArch MAdness promotion for the eBook version of both books. Starting on March 8, you can get either book for just $0.99 - that's both books for under $2.00!! But hurry, as the deal ends a week later on March 14. Follow these links to get your copies:

Cast a Long Shadow II (Kindle edition)
This promotion is also available from Amazon UK:

It also has more general columnists, talking about life as lived in a different country, and it now has one more columnist - Derek Knight, Brit in America!!
My first article was published earlier this month - even if you're not an expat, please do check it out - I'm excited about joining this group of writers.
I've produced another video of a reading from Sittin' on the Dock of King's Lynn. This new one is the first of what I refer to as "some thoughts along the way", as I talk about what seagulls mean to me, and how they affect my mode.
I don't have a particular schedule for producing these videos, but you can be advised automatically when I upload a new video by subscribing to my YouTube channel.
