FarmFest offerings include Horsedrawn Hayrides, Farm Animals, Wool Village, Exhibit Hall, Organic Valley Family Arena, Organic Book Nook & Cafe, Bell & Evans Home- made and Homegrown Market, and much more.
FarmFest will run 9:30am–10:30pm on Friday, August 7 and 9:30am–8:00pm on Saturday, August 8.

Now is your chance to showcase your organic farm, operation or products to the whole PCO membership, and beyond. We’re looking for photos of what organic means to you during all seasons of the year. The top 14 photos will be chosen by the staff for both covers and the feature photos for each month. Runners up will be highlighted in the calendar grid. All selected photos will receive a photo credit and a storyline.

Comment Period Extended for Proposed Rule on Organic Livestock & Poultry Practices

AMS has extended the comment period for the proposed rule to amend organic livestock and poultry practices until July 13, 2016, to allow the organic community, stakeholders and consumers additional time to provide feedback.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on April 13, 2016, and the comment period was slated to close on June 13, 2016. AMS received requests to both extend and not extend the comment period. The proposal aims to ensure consistent application of the USDA organic regulations for organic livestock and poultry operations and maintain confidence in organically labeled products.  The proposed changes are based on recommendations by the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) and incorporate years of public comment and suggestions by stakeholders.
Public participation and comments are vital to USDA's work in organic agriculture. Access the proposed rule at:

Organic Valley is seeking a Northeastern Hauling Coordinator responsible for coordinating milk route pickup and managing relationships with contracted milk haulers that are assigned to the position. This position is remote ideally located in or around Central PA where employee can reach all hauling bases in the assigned territory within a 4 to 6 hour drive.
