Last Chance to Apply - LIVEx Forum Conference Scholarships
Open to 18 to 30 year olds. The Angus Australia Foundation awards two scholarships annually to give Angus Australia members the opportunity to participate in the annual LiveCorp and Australian Livestock Exporters Council LIVEX Forum and LivExchange Conference. In 2016 the scholarship will be to attend the LIVEX Forum in Canberra ACT, 26 – 27 October.

Small Herds: Is your performance recording being used effectively?
Because of their low animal numbers, small herds tend to have high numbers of single animal contemporary groups, and may struggle to create genetic linkage, thereby reducing the effectiveness of their performance recording.   There are however a variety of management strategies small herds can implement to increase the effectiveness of their performance recording.  For more information on some of these strategies CLICK HERE
Sire DNA profile
Regulation 6.41. It shall be a requirement for the registration of all HBR, RAR, APR or MBR calves that their sire has a DNA profile recorded with the Society. If HBR, RAR, APR and born after 31/12/2002, the sire shall be DNA paternity verified.  If MBR and born after 31/12/2014, the sire shall be DNA paternity verified.
