Call for papers

Homelessness NSW is pleased to announce that our 2018 Conference will be held at the Novotel Wollongong Northbeach on March 15th and 16th 2018.

The conference theme in 2018 is ‘Housing ends Homelessness’ which highlights the importance of investing in social and affordable housing options to prevent and respond to the growing rates of homelessness. The conference will also focus on Aboriginal homelessness, trauma informed care, consumer participation, domestic violence, young people and good practice and homelessness prevention.

If you are interested in presenting, please submit a short abstract (Maximum 250 words) and a short biography to by January 22nd

The Aboriginal Engagement Officer (AEO) position is primarily responsible for further developing the relationship between members of Aboriginal communities in our catchment and the MNCCLC and the legal assistance sector.

Surviving Christmas Forum

The Family Law Pathways Network is holding a forum to provide guidance and information to professionals working with separating families, on how to support their clients to manage crisis, particularly around shared contact, over the holiday period and when limited services are available.

3) REFER people experiencing or at risk of domestic & family violence to appropriate support services

Pete's Place is a homelessness drop in Centre in Coffs Harbour which is due to open in late December 2017. On Wednesday 13 December we will have access to the building and would love to show you around. Morning tea will be provided and it's a great opportunity to get to know Dave and his team. 

We would love to answer any questions you have about Pete’s Place and strengthen the relationship between our services, for the benefit of our community.

Funding Opportunities

$4.5 Million worth of Grants open targeting NSW youngest learners

Research shows a quality education is the best preparation for success at school and beyond, which is why the NSW Government today announced $4.5 million grants for our youngest learners. 

The Community Grants program will open in February 2018 for not-for-profit, community-based preschools and mobile preschools. 

Applications for the Start Strong Pathways program have already opened.
