2016 Community Cash Fund winners announced

With more than 45 applications, it was a huge challenge for our panel to pick the winners of this year's Community Cash Fund.

However, we are delighted to award grants to 10 new projects to support the well-being of people across our county; projects that will also ensure more people have their say on local services.

South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAMB) placed into special measures

Yesterday, the organisation that monitors the safety and quality of health services, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), published the results of their inspection of Surrey's provider of emergency ambulances, NHS 111 and patient transport.

Whilst SECAMB have already made a number of improvements, inspectors have recommended that it be placed into special measures.

We need patients and the public to help shape local health plans, say NHS leaders

You may have heard about new local NHS plans, commonly referred to as Sustainability and Transformation Plans or STPs for short. 

NHS England have issued guidance to ensure that you can have your say.
