AngularJS and TypeScript

Lately there's been lots of talk about TypeScript, a language that compiles to JavaScript and adds some nice features to to the language. It's a superset of JavaScript which means that you can take existing JavaScript code and run it through the TypeScript compiler, making it easy to adopt TypeScript for your project and slowly convert existing code to use its feature.

AngularJS 2 when it comes out is built on top of TypeScript. It makes extensive use of annotations to make it easier to define controllers and dependency lists.

Until then, try out the tutorial and if you want to use TypeScript with AngularJS, you can download the typed definition file for angularjs.

Have a great weekend!
