WeGO to hold Executive Committee Meeting 2018 in Quezon City
October 17-19, 2018

Quezon City (Philippines) was elected to host the WeGO Executive Committee Meeting 2018. Aside from the flagship meeting of WeGO's leadership, the event will feature smart city sessions focusing on urban innovation and sustainable development. The event will coincide with the Philippine Smart City Summit 2018, the premier event on smart cities in the Philippines. See you in Quezon City for the WeGO Executive Committee Meeting in 2018!
WeGO to organize a Smart Sustainable Cities Training Program in Seoul
March 18-25, 2018
Seoul, Korea
WeGO, in cooperation with the Seoul Human Resource Development Center (SHRDC), will be holding a smart sustainable cities training program exclusively for WeGO members. The week-long program will feature lectures on smart transportation, open innovation, AI, blockchain, big data, among others, by esteemed speakers from the government, academe, and private and public sectors. We look forward to welcoming our WeGO members in Seoul in March! 
Take part in the FMDV-WeGO Study Visit in Europe
May 28-31, 2018
Paris, France & Brussels, Belgium
WeGO members are invited to take part in the FMDV-WeGO Study Visit, which will serve as an exciting opportunity for cities to meet with French and European partners to find solutions to their smart city challenges. Apart from the matchmaking meetings with companies in Paris, participants will also be able to take part in a workshop organized by the Uraia Platform on  the use of data for better city management in Brussels. Contribute your city's best practices to the WeGO Smart Sustainable City Projects Catalog
WeGO is building a comprehensive WeGO Smart Sustainable City Projects Catalog where members can access project cases from around the world. The Catalog will include details on project context, main features, technical details, and more. We hope to feature the projects of member cities like you. Evaluate your city against the United Nations Key Performance Indicators for Smart Sustainable Cities
WeGO encourages its members to measure their city's smartness through the United Nations Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Smart Sustainable Cities. The KPIs are a useful tool to measure a city's smart city goals and progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and serve as a guide for future growth and development. The KPIs are free for use and for more information, please contact the WeGO Secretariat.

WeGO completes ICT Feasibility Study on Smart Waste Management in La Marsa

After months of tailored analyses and study visits to La Marsa (Tunisia), WeGO has deployed 50 CleanCAPs in the city to begin the year-long pilot project implementation period, which serves as the culmination of the WeGO ICT Feasibility Study Project 2017. These CleanCAPs serve as sensors that send real-time data to a central network that collects and organizes valuable information to help the city  generate efficient and optimized garbage collection routes. WeGO takes part in the GCTC-SC3 Kickoff Conference
February 6-8, 2018
Washington DC, USA
WeGO participated in the GCTC-SC3 Kickoff Conference which brought together hundreds of municipal governments and technology innovators to collaborate and develop solutions to address city challenges. WeGO was joined by member cities, Bharatpur (Nepal) and Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia), at the event as members of the WeGO Thematic Clusters and to find partners to help realize their respective projects. WeGO welcomes new members
Lunte (Zambia), Shiraz (Iran), Sundarharaicha (Nepal), and Sunwal (Nepal) are WeGO's newest members, while the Korea Smart Card Corporation joins WeGO as its first corporate member! WeGO is looking forward to working with these cities in helping them pursue smart and sustainable development in cooperation with various entities from both the public and private sectors.
Participate in the various training programs being organized by SHRDC
The Seoul Human Resource Development Center (SHRDC), a WeGO partner,  is organizing various programs aimed for city officials in 2018. WeGO members are invited to take part in these training programs on urban-related issues like mobility, urban planning, water management, etc. Interested officials may download the application packet and send their applications to shrdcinfo@gmail.com.
