We will be at the Italian Club this Sunday as there is a bowling carnival at the Fremantle Park Centre. This will be the first time for a year that we have held dances there and the manager and staff are looking forward to seeing us all again. There won’t be any food on sale at the Italian club so feel free to bring your own. Entry is only $5 members $10 guests.
The Haze Showband will be playing for us from 1.30 to 5pm. Purple Haze were one of our favourite bands at Henry St. After a name change they also played for Dance Hall Days and several Sundays at the Italian club. You will notice one difference in the line up. Robbie Jones recently retired from the band and George Janicki has stepped up as lead/rhythm guitarist. George has been on the Perth music scene for many years and is a great asset to the band with his fine style and vocals.
Don’t forget the ukulele singalong/play along next Wednesday March 3rd. These are always great nights even if you don’t play the ukulele. Finger food will be on sale but not meals. We hope to see you this Sunday at the Italian Club but if you can’t make it we hope you have a very enjoyable long weekend.

The HAZE SHOWBAND is a Perth based band that has been delighting metro and country audiences for many years. Formally known as Purple Haze way back in the 70s, the quartet reformed in 2009 and has been busy ever since.
Their music covers early rock ‘n’ roll, swing, country, jazz and latin – evergreen music from our youth! Vocal harmonies are a speciality of the Haze and - with a range of instruments in the band – they pay tribute to many artists and genres.
