Note From Our President
Are you like me and feel so thankful to be living in this great country we call Canada?
We are reminded daily of the catastrophic challenges and numbers around the world and here at home. We need to self isolate/quarantine. With that in mind, I’m cancelling the GRBS April 20th meeting to allow a little more time to be sure we are being safe and no longer spreading COVID -19. We will continue to monitor this situation and take action as needed.
In the meantime, I was reminded of the following post on Facebook as follows:
- go outdoors for a walk
- listen to great music
- enjoy the books that have been waiting in the wings (love audio books)
- singing and laughing at email jokes
- this too will pass - maybe not as quickly as we would like but we will come through.
Looking to the summer and warmer weather, an item I don’t see a lot of are beaded anklets - other than on Pinterest - and I love to dress up my ankle(s) (may not be pretty ankles, but they are mine) and I think can use some bling. So will be creating some in anticipation of summer.
Also, in my effort to help, I’ve dusted off my sewing/serger machines and checking out my fabric stash (which I haven’t visited for awhile). I hear that washable face masks are needed. Do you have fabric stashes and machines wanting some TLC?
So, between sewing and beading during these coming weeks, maybe I won’t mind being sequestered as walks in the outdoors will help to raise the spirits.
What is on your bead board? What are you wanting to create?
Take care of you and your loved ones!
