Community Health Snapshot
Recent Community Outreach:
10/01/22 - AVAMPS Community Health Fair at AARC, an annual health fair for the Vietnamese community. AACHI provided at-home COVID tests to attendees and helped clients and attendees navigate the health fair.
10/14/22- Wellness Day Event at Refugee Services of Texas hosted by OEBB (Open Eyes Beyond Borders) which provides vision screenings, consultations, and vouchers for refugees and uninsured families. AACHI provided out at-home COVID tests and multilingual vaccine education books for children in Vietnamese and Arabic.
10/19/22 - AACHI volunteered to support Vina Pharmacy in providing flu and COVID-19 vaccinations at the Vietnamese Holy Martyrs Church. A total of 13 flu shots and 20 booster/bivalent vaccines were given to community members.
11/12/22 - AACHI provided volunteer support to the OEBB team at their Wellness Day for Seniors at Hoi Cao Nien Austin (Vietnamese Senior Center) providing vaccinations and vision screenings and consultations.
12/6/22 - AACHI's walk-in Vaccination Event with Korean & Vietnamese language assistance available to clients.
12/9/22 - Free vaccination event at AACHI's office with Nepali and Burmese interpretation.
