Recently I received a letter from Linus in Kenya. In it, he told of a boy named Daniel.
This is his story.
Daniel was born in Western Kenya, but his exact birthdate is not known. His mother passed away from tuberculosis last August, and he remained in the care of his grandmother. Under her care, Daniel and his brother suffered due to lack of food, clothing, and shelter.
After some time, a cousin, Patrick, heard of the boys situation and came to help them. Unfortunately he was only able to help Daniel and another relative took Daniel's brother.
Patrick works hard to care for Daniel. He does what he is able to do to provide food and shelter for them. At times, he works giving pedicures and manicures to the women in Limuru Town.
Often the food for Daniel and Patrick comes up short and Linus and his family will help them by providing dinner for them. Daniel is able to attend Christlike Academy where he receives meals and an education.
Daniel's physical needs are many, but they aren't the only place where he struggles. Daniel still greatly mourns the loss of his mother, and much time is spent praying with him about this.
Would you join us in prayer for Daniel and Patrick?
Daniel's story is unique and is one of many. We now have over 100 children at Christlike Academy and each have their own story. Thankfully, day by day, God is weaving their story in with His as He works through the teachers and instruction at Christlike Academy to help these children understand who He is and how He loves them.
Our hope is to continue to provide opportunities for children like Daniel to receive food and an education. Through God's providence and mercy, you are making that possible.
Thank you for your support and your prayers.
