Weekly COVID Update (UPDATED 4/18/2021)

Parents, please don’t send your child to school if they are showing any symptoms of sickness. Several illnesses, other than COVID, have been showing up here at Emanuel, and we want to do our best to continue to stay open. Unfortunately, many of the symptoms we’ve been seeing are similar to COVID-19 symptoms, which include fever/chills, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea. We do not want to inadvertently send someone home for a COVID test and have them quarantine until the results are back.

If your child is exhibiting any of these symptoms here at school, they will be sent home until they are symptom free. They also won’t be able to participate in athletics that day.

Thank you for your help in keeping our school healthy and open!

Wisconsin Parental Choice Program
A sincere thanks to all who applied for the program. The next stage of the process will be to wait until all applications have been verified and the state conducts the random selection based upon the allocation of district seats. Families should be notified in early June regarding a determination of whether or not they have received a voucher.

Piano Concert - April 29
A Piano Concert featuring the students of Mrs. Mulder and Mrs. Rodrigue will take place in church Thursday, April 29 at 6:00pm. Students, please arrive in church with family at 5:45 with your music (NOTE: school will not be open).

Masks need to be worn on bus
The School District of New London provides a wonderful service in bus transportation for a number of our families. This is a quick reminder that the School District of New London has stated that students riding the bus must wear a face covering/mask. This applies to all students, regardless of which school they attend. The bus drivers also have the right to deny service to any students and families that choose not to abide by the face covering policy that is in place. This policy is in place until the end of the school year.

Scrip deadline April 30th
All scrip orders purchased by May 1st will be applied to the 2021-22 school year. Please get all your orders in by April 30th. Starting May 1st the scrip credit will be applied to the 2022-23 school year. Any questions, please contact the office.

Emanuel Annual Pizza-making Event
Due to an insufficient number of volunteers, the pizza-making event scheduled for May 15th has been canceled. But don’t worry, the plan is to continue with our normally scheduled pizza event in November. Stay tuned for that!

WOHW - Mark your calendars for this Saturday 4/24, 8:00 am.
Women of His Word invites you to do a little service project! Let's meet together for some time outdoors to enjoy the beautiful murals in town and perform some service work by cleaning up litter along the way and around the murals! Please park and meet in the parking lot behind the movie theater at 8:00 am. Please bring your own garbage bag. We will start there and work our way to other areas of town. Come for as little or as long as you'd like. In case of inclement, very rainy, cold weather, we will postpone to another date. For questions, contact Mandi Beck 920-359-0907
