This last week we saw Jesus' ALMIGHTY POWER in the great catch of fish! We created our own catch of fish projects with fish stickers and nets!

Glad to be back for learning in Kindergarten in 2021.

Call News
Please keep Ms. Jandron in your prayers. She received a call last week to teach 1st & 2nd grade at Zion Lutheran School in Columbus, WI, starting next school year. Over the next few weeks she will be evaluating and deliberating where she can best serve: here at Emanuel or down at Zion Lutheran School in Columbus, WI. If you have any words of encouragement for her, please let her know.

Monday - Feb 15 - Pajama Day (being comfortable and bringing your stuffed animal encouraged; sleeping in class discouraged)

Wednesday - Feb 17 - Class Color Day (3P/4K Camo, K Red, 1 Pink/Purple, 2 Green, 3 Orange, 4 Blue, 5 Yellow, 6 Gray, 7 White, 8 Black)

Thursday- Feb. 18 - Career Day

Friday- Feb. 19 - Black & Gold Day (these are our colors, so wear them proudly!)

A couple things to remember when dressing up:
  1. Parts of the dress code dealing with modesty still apply
  2. Face paint or hair dyes can be applied at home, but do not bring these items to school

Starting Monday, Feb 15th, Emanuel will have a penny war throughout the week to raise money towards our 3rd quarter mission project, so start keeping your pennies! Penny collecting will end on Friday at 9 AM.

Powerschool Notification Preferences
In order to reach everyone when the Emanuel Alert Line is used, please update your preferences of which messages you would like to receive. 

To do so, please log in to Powerschool, click on the SwiftReach SwiftK12 button in the top left corner, and then select “Alert Preferences” in the right corner. On the next screen, verify that your contact information is correct. Click on each orange Alert Preferences button, select which options you’d like, and save. This needs to be done with each child you have attending Emanuel. Please let Mr. Schauland or Mrs. Eidenberger know if you have any questions.

Volunteers Needed for Basketball Upcoming Games
All winter sports families are reminded to sign up for their volunteer spots. We are still in need of volunteers for a number of games. Click the link to sign up.  Volunteer Sign UpWould you like to learn how to keep the scorebook or run the score clock?

There’s still time to earn tuition credit for next year!
The Scrip year runs from May 1 - April 30. Any Scrip you buy from now until April 30 will go towards next year's tuition (2021-2022). Credit earned can be used for any student, even those starting next year!  If you would like more information on how to make use of the Scrip program, please contact the office at 982-5444.

Friday, February 19th - Emanuel Spelling Bee
February 19th is our school spelling bee, starting at 1:30 pm in the church. The top spellers in grades 5-8 will compete to determine the top Emanuel speller. This event will be live streamed on Facebook Live as well. 

Hunter’s Education Course
Classes will be held on April 8, 22, 24, 26, 29, May 1 & 3rd.  Students will need to have a DNR customer number before registering for the class.  DNR customer numbers and registration can be done on the DNR website:   You may also call the DNR at 1-888-936-7463 between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm, seven days a week. This is a lifetime number and will cost you nothing.  Please register by March 4th so materials may be purchased and ready for the first class.  All classes will be held in the Emanuel School commons.  Call Dean Spears at 920-843-0589 with questions.  Click here for more details.

Tax Forms / 2020 Statements
Tax forms and 2020 statements can be picked up in the school office. Please remember that all school fees paid in 2020 can be used as a tax deduction when filing state tax returns in 2021.

Pre-registration for 2021-22 School Year - March 1, 2021
It’s time to register for the 2021-2022 school year! Classes fill quickly, especially 3P and 4K. Families need to return their forms to the school office by March 1st. Please email or drop the registration form to our school administrative assistant, Mrs. Eidenberger.

School Board Meeting - Open Public Comment 
February 3rd at 7:00 p.m. T.I.G.E.R. Innovation Space
Procedures followed at the School Board Meeting:
  • Each individual that has been granted permission to speak will receive no more than 3 minutes to address the board. 
  • The School Board Chairman will respond and, if needed, the Communications Coordinator/Educational Consultant for the spring 2021 school year will assist by providing clarification regarding procedures and systems currently in place, or those being researched to better serve students and their families.  
  • If further discussion is needed, the School Board Chairman will confer with the School Board members in order to determine an appropriate timeline to respond.
