NEWS & NOTES
October 21 (tonight)- Fall Sports Night (6-7 pm)
This is for all athletes & their families for cross country, volleyball, and soccer. We will acknowledge the players and coaches and have a few fun activities. Meet in the gym. Families may bring a snack or dessert to share if they wish.
October 23 - End of the 1st Quarter
Report cards will be sent home on Tuesday, October 29th.
October 24-25 - No School
Teachers will be attending the Wisconsin Lutheran State Teachers Conference.
October 29 - Winter Sports Night is next week Tuesday, October 29 from 6:00-7:00. Pizza will be provided. Please bring veggies, fruit, or dessert as a dish to pass. Uniforms will also be handed out.

Parents of students in grades 5-8 should schedule a conference with the home room teacher below. In addition, conferences can also be scheduled with teachers of specific subject areas.

Tiger Cub Care
It is a scheduling week!! Our childcare is available to the whole school, 3P-8th grade. Reminder, Tiger Cub Care is now available 7am - 5:30pm Monday through Friday. 3P and 4k students are welcome to attend on their off days too!
Please fill out the online scheduling form for October 28 - November 8 care needed. All care for those two weeks should be entered by this Thursday, October 24. Please calculate your hours and provide payment by check, cash, credit card or online also by Thursday, October 24.

As we wind down the fall sports season, please remember to return your uniforms. When your team is done competing, please wash, dry and place in a bag with your name on it. Place the bag in the basket at the door of the athletic office. All uniforms should be returned on or before Fall Sports Night, Monday, October 21st.

Book Fair Results
Thank you to all who volunteered their time working at our recent book fair. Thank you also to all who visited the fair. It was the most successful fair we have ever had at Emanuel thanks to you! Our total sales were $3301.02, which will give us $1650.51 to use for books for our Emanuel library. Keep reading!
End of Quarter
Students will be coming home with 1st Quarter report cards on Tuesday, October 29th. Please look them over and sign and return the envelope to your child’s teacher.
Thanks to all who have ordered pizza for our technology fundraiser. On Nov. 2nd, we will be assembling these in the school commons from 8:00 am until noon. We still need volunteers so please sign up by clicking here. We do need to have an accurate count of volunteers to properly set up beforehand. Mother & Daughter Event - “Just Between Us”
Communication with mom can be hard for preteens and teenage girls, especially in this time of social media (look up from your phone!) But….. there can be fun, easy ways to make it happen more naturally! Please join us for ‘Just Between Us’ – A fun, faith-filled night out for Moms & Daughters, Grandmas & Granddaughters, grades 3rd – 8th, to laugh, make special memories and enjoy some quality time together!

We are still in need of clean, label-free cans for an all-school Christmas project. Drop them off in the school office or give them to your teacher at any time. We need many more.

Grace-Hmong outreach in Vietnam. All monetary donations will be given to this mission.
Throughout the school year, there are multiple opportunities to volunteer at Emanuel. If you are interested in volunteering for any of the listed opportunities please contact the listed staff member or the school office.
2nd- Pizza fundraiser- all day event- need help prepping, making, and wrapping pizzas 7th/8th can work without a parent, 5th/6th need a parent present to help. FVL 8th Grade Student/Parent Welcome Night
8th graders and their parents are invited to FVL’ s 8th Grade Student/Parent Welcome Night on Monday, 10/28 from 4:30-8:00 pm. Join us for food, fellowship, and fun. While students enjoy games and socializing, parents can attend 20-minute info sessions on important topics! All interested families should register online at fvlhs.org.
FVL Foxes Grade School Dance Camp
Registration is open for the FVL Foxes Grade School Dance Camp! This camp will take place on Saturday, November 9 from 11 AM-2 PM and is open to girls in grades 5K-8. The cost is $25 per participant, which includes a t-shirt, hair ribbon, lunch, and dance instruction. Payment and registration are due October 19. Late registrations will be accepted, but a t-shirt will not be guaranteed. Dancers should wear athletic clothes and tennis shoes. Hair should be pulled back from the face; no jewelry or gum are allowed. All the girls will perform for family after the camp concludes at 2 PM, and they will have the option to perform with the FVL dance team on November 26 at the girls' basketball games. Grades 5K-3 will perform at halftime of the girls' JV game, and grades 4-8 will perform at halftime of the girls' varsity game. Anyone who wants to perform on November 26 should meet in the FVL auditorium at 5:30 PM that evening. Contact Coach Katelynn Dorn (email@example.com or 262-408-9692) with questions. FVL Foxes Grade School Cheer Camp
Registration is open for the FVL Foxes Grade School Cheer Camp! This camp will take place on Saturday, November 16 and is open to girls in grades 5K-8. The camp for grades 5K-4 will run from 8 AM-noon, and the one for grades 5-8 will run from 1-5:30 PM. The cost is $25 per participant, which includes the instruction and a custom hair bow. Payment and registration are due November 2. Late registrations will be accepted, but a $5 late fee will be assessed and a hair bow will not be guaranteed. Girls should wear non-slippery shorts, t-shirt, and athletic shoes. Long hair should be pulled back, and no jewelry.
