 Wednesday begins the season of Lent. May the Lord bless and keep you all! This week we will celebrate Spirit Week! Save your pennies! We will be having a penny war. All money collected will go to our quarter 3 mission.

Spirit Week - Feb 15-19
Monday - Feb 15 - Pajama Day (being comfortable and bringing your stuffed animal encouraged; sleeping in class discouraged)

Tuesday - Feb 16 -  Tacky Tourist Day

Wednesday - Feb 17 - Class Color Day (3P/4K - Camo, K - Red, 1st - Pink/Purple, 2nd - Green, 3rd - Orange, 4th - Blue, 5th - Yellow, 6th - Gray, 7th - White, 8th - Black)

Thursday- Feb. 18 - Career Day

Friday- Feb. 19 - Black & Gold Day (these are our colors, so wear them proudly!)

A couple things to remember when dressing up:
  1. Parts of the dress code dealing with modesty still apply
  2. Face paint or hair dyes can be applied at home, but do not bring these items to school

Starting Monday, Feb 15th, Emanuel will have a penny war throughout the week to raise money towards our 3rd quarter mission project, so start keeping your pennies! Penny collecting will end on Friday at 9 AM.

Friday, February 19th - Emanuel Spelling Bee
February 19th is our school spelling bee, starting at 1:30 pm in the church. The top spellers in grades 5-8 will compete to determine the top Emanuel speller. This event will be live streamed on Facebook Live as well (facebook.com/emanuelnl) Congratulations to our contestants:

Headphones
Parents, please make sure that your child has a pair of headphones/earbuds here at school. Your child needs them for using their Chromebook in class as well as for testing purposes. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding with this!

3rd-8th Grade ACT Aspire testing
Our 3rd-8th grade students will be taking their second round of ACT Aspire testing starting this week. Please make sure your child is getting an appropriate amount of sleep and eating breakfast before coming to school. Thank you for your help with this!

Contact Information - Update needed
Your child will be bringing home a contact information form. Please review this form closely and update and/or fill in any blank areas. We are looking into online registration for next school year, so we want to make sure all the information is correct for the process to go smoother. If you don’t have any changes, please send the form back to school and indicate "No Changes Needed". This is a 2 sided sheet so please make sure to review both sides. Any questions can be directed to Mrs. Eidenberger (school@emanuelnl.org). 


New London Dance Camp 
This is for girls and boys Kindergarten through 7th grade. Practice will take place Monday-Wednesday, March 29th -31st from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Performance will be Thursday, April 1, 2021 by video. Cost is $25. Please see the registration form for more information. Any questions, please contact Stacy Ruckdashel: sruckdas@newlondon.k12.wi.us.

Wisconsin Parental Choice Program Application Enrollment

The Wisconsin Parental Choice Program is an amazing chance for families to receive a tuition-free education at Emanuel! It is also a tremendous blessing to our school. Volunteers Needed for Basketball Upcoming Games
All winter sports families are reminded to sign up for their volunteer spots. We are still in need of volunteers for Friday. Please contact our Athletic Director, Mrs. Sarah Osterman, with any questions.

Winter Sports Wrapping Up
As the winter sports teams begin finishing their seasons, please hang on to the uniforms until winter sports pictures, which will be February 24. The uniforms will be returned to Mrs. Osterman after that time.

Spring Picture and Sport Picture Day, Wednesday, February 24th
You can order Spring pictures online at www.lifetouch.com. Picture Day ID: EVTWFFJVG
All students will be getting their picture taken. A few weeks after pictures, students will be receiving a proof sheet. You can order pictures at that time if you wish. 
  • Basketball and Cheerleaders bring full uniform
  • Band students please bring your instrument

There’s still time to earn tuition credit for next year!
The Scrip year runs from May 1 - April 30. Any Scrip you buy from now until April 30 will go towards next year's tuition (2021-2022). Credit earned can be used for any student, even those starting next year!  If you would like more information on how to make use of the Scrip program, please contact the office at 982-5444.

Hunter’s Education Course - this course is unfortunately being rescheduled. The DNR is hoping to run the course in June.  More details to come.

Tax Forms / 2020 Statements
Tax forms and 2020 statements can be picked up in the school office. Please remember that all school fees paid in 2020 can be used as a tax deduction when filing state tax returns in 2021.

Pre-registration for 2021-22 School Year - March 1, 2021
It’s time to register for the 2021-2022 school year! Classes fill quickly, especially 3P and 4K. Families need to return their forms to the school office by March 1st. Please email or drop the registration form to our school administrative assistant, Mrs. Eidenberger.
