GA Farm to School and Early Care Summit Scholarships
Registration is open for the 7th Georgia Farm to School and Early Care and Education Summit, June 7-8 at Helms College in Macon. The Summit will feature dynamic, hands-on education sessions, workshops, and field trips for early care providers and K-12 staff on gardening, cooking with kids, local procurement, and more! Paddle GA K-12 Teacher Scholarship
Are you a Georgia educator teaching grades K-12? If so, you are eligible to apply for a scholarship to participate in Paddle Georgia 2019, a week-long voyage down the Withlacoochee and Suwannee rivers. Receive training in Georgia Adopt-A-Stream and Project WET and take your adventure back to the classroom. Apply by April 20, 2019.
National Geographic Educator Certification Course
This course seeks to inspire Pre-K—12 formal and informal educators to teach students about the world in innovative and interdisciplinary ways. The course will run April 15 through June 30 and is self paced. Achieving certification will provide you with professional recognition and development; lifelong community with like-minded educators; and relationships, resources, perks, and opportunities with National Geographic Society. Free. Enrollment ends May 12.
The 15th annual Teacher Conservation Workshop
is scheduled for the week of June 17-21. This interdisciplinary workshop focuses on the environmental, economical, and social benefits of Georgia’s forestry and wildlife communities and includes Project WET, WILD and Learning Tree certification.
