Hari Om!
Welcome to August... It is sunny and a little windy as I sit writing this...but I am so grateful for the light.  In class the other night we had to put the light on...a sign of the change coming!  So, keep gettingup early and enjoying every minute of the light...current moto for me!!

This is a little late, for which I apologise.  And a little shorter than normal...purely because I wanted to get it to you before I go off on my Mantra and Yantra course.  Am a little excited by that as it is something I am hugely interested in but not really worked with in great depth before.  And the teacher is so knowledgeable and without ego.  And...I am travelling with a lady I have never met before and I think we are going to have fun.

A huge welcome to all the new people who have recently subsribed to this newsletter.  Do go and have a look on my website for the old ones...there are little gems of recordings and practices there.  It is coming up to that time of year where we think about taking up new interests or restarting ones that were dropped as life took over.  I am always very happy to see previous students so please don't be shy about coming to class if you haven't been for a while.

I have a new class starting in Spondon on Wednesday 7th  - 09.30 to 10.30 - at The Old School on Chapel Street.  Shorter than normal as this is a class that is suitable for everyone no matter of experience, health or age (well, you do need to be 18+)  The emphasis will be on gentle movement, breathing practices, relaxation and meditation.  Time out for you each reset the balance and give you tools to work with in every day life.
The Thursday night class at Parkview School has become so popular that I have taken on the bigger room.  So if you have been interested in a Thursday evening class and been unable to get in, from 8th Septemeber I now have room for you.

Last weekend, together with my wonderful friend, yoga teacher and Vedic Astrologer, we ran a weekend retreat together.  It was huge fun, brain draining at times but so worthwhile and I think some came away with a clear understanding of why life is as it is.  Never forgetting of course that we have free will always.  A HUGE thank you to Sue but also all those that came and shared so openly and laughed loudly!

The weekend before we had the Sanctuary Retreat Day.  WOW!!!!  Another HUGE thank you to all the therapists and all those that joined in.  We raised £430 for Nepal and I can't wait for the next one.  Great format and such positive energy.

Our next big event is the Christmas Craft Fair for Nepal on November 27th in Darley Abbey VIllage Hall.  Do let your friends and family know.  There will be 14 different crafters there and all selling items ideal for Christmas presents - birthdays, christenings, teachers...etc!!  More on this next month as we finalise all the details.

If you are thinking of coming to Wortley Hall next March do let me know.  In fact, I have just sent a note asking for more rooms if possible.

There are also a couple of spaces available on the Kerala trip next April as two lovely ladies have had to pull out.  I am still planning the France trip for next could change to Italy!!  And, I hope to have more detail about dates next year for the Nepal trip.  Life is really exciting at the moment!  A little more information here  about the holidays being planned.
