Fund the Office of Broadband Development and the Border-to-Border Broadband Grant Program

Future funding for the Office of Broadband Development and the Border-to-Border Broadband Development Grant Program is at a critical moment. Recently, the House Committee on Job Growth and Energy Affordability Policy and Finance released its Omnibus Jobs bill, which eliminates the Office of Broadband Development and defunds the Border-to-Border Development Grant Program.

We need your help to continue funding for this important office and program. CLICK HERE to contact key House members and CLICK HERE to contact key senators. Increase funding for the Angel Investment Tax Credit

The state legislature is currently considering legislation to increase funding for the Angel Investment Tax Credit. The tax credit is extremely popular and with your help, we can increase funding for the program to $18 million. Help Strengthen the R&D Tax Credit

The Research and Development Tax Credit is an important tool for encouraging investment in R&D activities and helping Minnesota remain competitive with other states. The state legislature is currently considering increasing the second tier of the credit from 2.5 percent to 4.0 percent and making the first tier of the credit refundable. These provisions are key to helping strengthen Minnesota’s R&D Tax Credit. CLICK HERE to contact key legislators and share your support for the R&D Tax Credit.
Fund the SciTechsperience Internship Program

The SciTechsperience Internship Program connects STEM college students with paid internships and is funded by the State of Minnesota. As the Legislature considers its funding priorities, please encourage them to fully fund SciTechsperience at $2 million. This will provide enough funding to double the number of students placed in internships from 225 to 450. CLICK HERE to contact key legislators.
