The QE2 Story, QE2 50 Year Conference will be of significant importance in the 2017 Calendar of Maritime Events. You will have the opportunity to visit Clydebank, the birth place of QE2 to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of the launch of the ship. This is an event not to be missed!
Conference Tickets go on sale on 14 January 2017
We hope that many forum members will join us in Clydebank on 22 September 2017. We know that this is not the actual date of the launch of QE2, but the conference has been planned for a Friday so as to give Forum members the opportunity to take part in events planned for the weekend of 23 and 24 September.
We have compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) on the event website, FAQs page and the Tickets page. Included is information on how you can purchase tickets, payment method, what is included in the price of the ticket, dietary and access requirements, etc.
There is also a link from the FAQ's page, to a new Accommodation page, where there are details of preferential hotel rates that The QE2 Story Events Committee has arranged with the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow. This is only for a number of rooms on 21 and 22 September 2017. The booking contract would be between yourself and the hotel with no input from The QE2 Story. Booking using this option will allow you to book early and secure your accommodation at a lower rate, than what is normally available for early bookings. However as there are many excellent hotels in the Glasgow area we have added a link for other Glasgow hotel options.
