Hello from Lynda and the team at the QE2 Story.  We hope you are continuing to enjoy participating in this successful discussion forum where your contribution is building a worthwhile QE2 information resource.

We are always happy to receive news and photos of QE2 in Dubai.  However when forum members saw these photos they were concerned to see that our beautiful QE2 is looking a bit neglected. Follow Images of QE2 in Dubai topic
Dubai 2014

Last chance to enter this month's prize competition!

Our forum photo competition gives us the opportunity to share our photographic memories and relive some of the happiness that QE2 gave to us.

“Lifebuoys, lifeboats and tenders our October photo competition theme, has resulted in some excellent photos that were taken onboard the ship or onshore, but we are looking forward to seeing lots more entries.

With the competition closing date of midnight on 31 October drawing near why not take a look at your QE2 photos and choose your three favourites to upload to the gallery.  For more information have a look at the photo competition topic.
The prize for the winner will be the Amberley publication "Post-War Canadian Pacific Liners" by Bill Miller, currently selling on Amazon at £16.38.  It is being donated by Rob Lightbody.

Last chance to vote for your favourite photo in last month's competition!

We were pleased that the theme “QE2 attracts shoreside crowds” resulted in lots of fabulous entries for last months competition.  If you have not yet voted have a look at the photos and choose your favourite three pictures.  A copy of the DVD "Mr Ocean Liner" about the life and times of Mr Bill Miller, is going to the winner.  The DVD was donated by Robert Neal Marshall.
Voting closes on 1 November.
Congratulation to Hamburger, the winner of the September competition and Rob Lightbody the runner up.  Plus a big  thank-you to everyone who participated by submitting their excellent photos and voting.  Keep watching the competition results topic for more information.
