If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you,
he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies
because of his Spirit who lives in you.
The death of Jesus on the cross paid the debt we owe for our sin. The resurrection of Jesus from the dead proves death is not the end. The Holy Spirit, who raised Christ from the dead, gives us eternal life. These are the glorious truths of Easter. Of course, each day of the year the reality of Easter is vitally important to our lives. However, it is wonderful to have a focus, once a year, to commemorate, celebrate and be encouraged by the death and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Therefore, please do join us at our Easter events. Also, who can you invite to come with you?
Our culture still has something of an underlying expectation that it would be good to go to church over the Easter period. It can be so hard to talk to our friends about the Lord Jesus Christ, so, anytime our culture wants to give me a hand, I’m very keen to take it.
To that end we have a variety of Easter events this year.
Good Friday April 19th – 10am - The Good Friday Story – An interactive re-telling of the Good Friday story for all the family.
Good Friday April 19th – 11am – An hour at the cross – Quiet reflection on Jesus’ sacrifice in our place for our sins.
Easter Sunday April 21st – 4pm – All Age Easter Celebration
Other upcoming events:
Thursday 11th April – Ladies Walk & Coffee
Monday 18th April – Monthly Prayer Meeting
Friday 26th April – Friday night @ the Hopkins
Thursday 30th & Friday 31st May – Children’s Holiday Club
